When compared to CLARINET post-hoc, the follow-up time is longer (95.0 months vs. 24 months) and included mainly carcinoid syndrome-associated GI-tract primary tumors (55.6% midgut tumors) vs. non-functioning pNEN [36], a feature that also contrasts with the PRIME-NET study that included only patients with pNEN, some of which in the context of MEN1, while the hormonal status was not described [42]. Here, MEN1 is linked to carcinoid syndrome.
