METTL3 and psoriasis vulgaris: Considering the catalytic ability of these genes and the decreasing m6A methylation in psoriasis vulgaris, we speculated that METTL3 plays a more important role in the downregulation of m6A, while FTO and ALKBH5 could constitute a feedback mechanism compensating for the declining m6A methylation induced by METTL3 in psoriasis vulgaris.
