A study of 150 patients with urothelial bladder cancer and lymph node metastases revealed that the rate of Her-2 amplifications—detected by FISH—was significantly higher in lymph node metastases (15.3%) than in primary tumors (8.7%) (p = 0.003), suggesting that Her-2 overexpression may play a pathogenic role in the lymphatic dissemination of UC [15]. Here, ERBB2 is linked to bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
