We further knocked down MMP2 in T24(SOX2) and the overexpression of MMP2 in T24T (KOSOX2) cells (Figure S3A–D), and there was no significant change in the FOXO1 protein, further indicating that the FOXO1 and MMP2 pathways are independent axes from each other in mediating BC invasion due to SOX2 overexpression (Figure S3B,C,E,F).
