Previous studies have shown that the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is also associated with the basal subtype of bladder cancer [37] and in our study, exposure to As3+ increased the expression as well as the phosphorylation of the receptor (pEGFR, Figure 3D(i–iii),E(i–iii)) at passages 10 and 20. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is urinary bladder cancer.
