The MYC gene has been often found to be close to the IGH gene locus compared with the IGL and IGK gene loci, which may explain why the MYC-IGH translocation is observed in around 80% of Burkitt’s lymphoma cases while the remaining MYC-IGK and MYC-IGL translocations occupy the rest [105].
