Although their up-regulation, at first sight, appears not to be compatible with reduced growth, it was shown that some of these, such as MRPL17 (exclusively identified in both knockout cell types), -33, -35 or -44 (increased as a trend in both cell types, p < 0.05) were up-regulated in various tumors, such as glioma-, leukemia-, breast-, colon- or lung carcinoma (reviewed in [78]). This evidence concerns the gene MRPL17 and central nervous system cancer.
