The human Cub and Sushi Multiple Domains 1 (CSMD1) gene is thought to be a novel candidate tumor-suppressor gene that codes for multiple domains, including complement regulatory adhesion proteins and a membrane protein with an extracellular region, a single transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic domain, although its function in human tumors is currently unknown [1,2]. The gene discussed is CSMD1; the disease is neoplasm.
