TLCD3A and cervical cancer: As main results, the present study (i) uncovers a striking cell-density-dependent regulation of cellular FAM57A protein levels, which occurs post-transcriptionally, (ii) provides evidence that FAM57A is a hypoxia-responsive gene and (iii) reveals that FAM57A is a critical determinant for the phenotype of cervical cancer cells by promoting their proliferation and migration capacities.
