Therefore, we used this novel approach to examine the associations between psychoneurological symptoms (poor sleep quality, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and oral pain), and biomarkers of stress (a diurnal cortisol slope) and inflammation (CRP, IL-6, interleukin-10 (IL-10), and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α)) among newly diagnosed HNC patients. Here, CRP is linked to depressive disorder.
