Therefore, we used this novel approach to examine the associations between psychoneurological symptoms (poor sleep quality, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and oral pain), and biomarkers of stress (a diurnal cortisol slope) and inflammation (CRP, IL-6, interleukin-10 (IL-10), and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α)) among newly diagnosed HNC patients. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and depressive disorder.
