These findings are in line with the results of a study published by Denkert et al., which analyzed immune-associated mRNA markers in tumor samples from patients of the Gepar-Sixto trial, demonstrating that immunosuppressive markers, such as PD-1, PD-L1, CTLA-4 and FoxP3, were positively associated with the presence of stromal TILs and correlated with treatment response [28,29]. This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and neoplasm.
