For example, PXN is known to be related with tumor progression, invasion, and metastasis via EMT [31,32,33,34], and the expression analysis in this study suggests that a prostate cancer subtype with ERG fusion or SPOP mutation could share this cancer progression mechanism while a prostate cancer subtype with an ETV4 fusion or ETV1 fusion does not. The gene discussed is SPOP; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
