In the current sample, the most important findings of our study are reduced RHI values in asthmatics (1.53 vs. 1.81; p < 0.001), a decreasing trend of ADMA (p < 0.05) and E-selectin levels (p < 0.05), increasing hsCRP levels (p < 0.05) with asthma severity, a statistically significant difference in E-selectin in relation to asthma control (p < 0.01), and decreasing VCAM 1 levels with the severity of eosinophilic airway inflammation (p = 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene SELE and asthma.
