Using mock- and FHIT-transfected Colo38 melanoma cells, subsequently treated with DMSO, Sorafenib (an inhibitor of C-Raf and mutated B-Raf), and PLX4032 (an inhibitor of mutated B-Raf), we observed the inactivating phosphorylation of C-Raf on Ser 289/296/301 was relevant in all FHIT-transfected conditions. Here, BRAF is linked to melanoma.
