These mutations, however, are not decisive for the development of epilepsy, as IDH1 and IDH2 mutations do increase the risk of developing seizures in gliomas [51,52,53,54], while LEATs typically lack IDH1 or IDH2 mutations and 1p/19q co-deletions [11,40,41,42]. The gene discussed is IDH1; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
