Among the 15 prevalent mutated genes, 8 with different variants in exons with changes in protein coding are important for the development of mature cystic teratomas of the ovary: FLG, MUC17, MUC5B, RP1L1, NBPF1, SLC29A3, SGK223, and FAM186A (Fig. 4B). The gene discussed is RP1L1; the disease is ovarian cystic teratoma.
