As a class of nuclear hormone receptor family, PPARγ has been proven to promote cell apoptosis through multiple pathways, such as NF-κB, PI3K, and MAPK, etc. We believe that the stronger apoptosis promoting effect of DHA-PC and DHA-TG on 95D non-small-cell lung cancer cells was mediated by PPARγ, whereas DHA-EE may have additional potential targets. This evidence concerns the gene PPARG and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
