A study involving 4221 subjects showed that hs-cTnT concentrations above 13 ng/L were associated with an HF incidence rate of 6.4 per 100 person-years (95% CI 5.8–7.2) and a risk for HF (adjusted hazard ratio, [HR] 2.48; 95% CI 2.04–3.00) [47]. The gene discussed is TNNT2; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
