The intersecting genes between the upregulated proteins (ratio >2) from PANC‐1 and SW1990 CM and survival‐related genes from TCGA showed six genes—calpastatin (CAST), lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA), immortalization up‐regulated protein (IMUP), CD9, tyrosine kinase receptor (MET) and tumour necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 21 (TNFRSF21) (Figure 5A)—which may play important roles in CAFs formation and PC tumour progression. The gene discussed is CAST; the disease is pachyonychia congenita.
