Results from these studies revealed that contractile responses to Ang II, noradrenaline, KPSS, and prostaglandin H2 (PGH2) [79,80] were increased in the isolated portal vein of SHR compared with normotensive rats, while no changes in the contractile response to Ang II were found in the portal veins from two-kidney one-clip (2K1C) renovascular hypertensive rats [79].
