Our team previously found that there was a significant difference in the expression of CLCA2 in human normal cervical tissues, low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LSIL), high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) and cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissues by immunohistochemical studies (P < 0.05), and speculated that CLCA2 may be involved in the development of cervical cancer. The gene discussed is CLCA2; the disease is cervical cancer.
