Mechanisms attributed to Ikaros growth suppression in B-ALL include transcriptional regulation of a number of genes involved in various biological processes, including those that function in B cell development and act downstream of the pre-B cell receptor (pre-BCR) [29,57,58], as well as genes that limit the metabolic capacity of leukemia cells [45]. The gene discussed is BCR; the disease is precursor B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
