CCND1 and ovarian cancer: Additional IK1-downregulated miRNAs included miR-7641, which has been previously shown to be highly expressed in metastatic cancer cells and to promote tumor cell progression and metastasis [39]; let-7e that has been shown to have a role in ovarian cancer cisplatin resistance through the regulation of DNA damage repair target genes BRCA1 and Rad51 [76], as well as cisplatin-resistance factors CCND1 and EZH2 [35]; and miR-551a, for which increased expression has been shown to be protective against chemotherapy-induced cell death [38].
