An examination of specific examples of commonly dysregulated synaptic genes in HD revealed that early mHtt lowering had a significant probability of fully preserving Pde10a, Drd1, Scn4b, Adcy5, Drd2, and Ppp1r1b expression levels at 6 months of age, but this beneficial effect was diminished by 12 months of age. This evidence concerns the gene PPP1R1B and Huntington disease.
