NFKB1 and colitis: Liu et al. (2020a) found that L. plantarum with high conjugated linoleic acids-synthesized ability could alleviate DSS-induced colitis by inhibiting the NF-κB signaling pathway. The results indicated that L. plantarum L15 prevented the DSS-induced colitis by modulating gut microbiota structure to increase SCFAs levels, which could suppress inflammation and improve the intestinal barrier via the NF-κB signaling pathway.
