In contrast to their findings, EVA1A-AS was also expressed in immortalized normal human liver cell line L02, and although the levels of EVA1A-AS in Huh7 and HepG2 cells were significantly higher than that in L02, the levels of EVA1A-AS in Hccl-M3 cells was almost the same as that in L02 cells (Additional file 1: Fig. S2), indicating that the suppressing effect of EVA1A-AS on EVA1A expression may be limited to some HCC cell lines. This evidence concerns the gene EVA1A and hepatocellular carcinoma.
