We found that the expression levels of survival-related pseudogenes were significantly correlated with many protein-coding genes that have been reported to be aberrantly expressed or mutated and play roles in tumorigenesis and progression in many kinds of cancers, such as DNMT3B, PDGFRA, SOCS6, SNCG, CCND1, and SNAI131–35. Here, SOCS6 is linked to cancer.
