The group with mean CFS ≥ 5 (frail group) had higher 2-year mortality (41% vs. 9%, p < 0.01), hemodialysis patients, (100% vs. 85%, p < 0.01), CRP [1.04 (0.12, 5.66) vs. 0.16 (0.05, 0.52) mg/dl, p < 0.01], and BNP [544 (222, 1377) vs. 165 (63.0, 408) pg/ml, p < 0.01] than patients with CFS < 5 (non-frail group). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and myalgic encephalomeyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.
