HNSCC tumors had an abundance of tumor-associated macrophages (36.8 ± 11.9%), neutrophils (22.8 ± 9.78%) and CD4+ T cells (10.5 ± 8.04%), Tregs (7.50 ± 7.15%) and CD8+ T cells (6.84 ± 9.18%) whereas B cells (4.46 ± 6.88%), NK cells (3.76 ± 2.30%) and DCs (2.98 ± 4.04%) were less present (Figure 1A).
