Coagulation factor X (FX), a vitamin K-dependent plasma protein, is overexpressed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).Secreted FX, a chemoattractant, is closely associated with TAM density and specifically increases the M2 macrophages in GBM.FX facilitates macrophage recruitment and M2 polarization to accelerate GBM growth without altering proliferation by increasing the phosphorylation and activation of ERK1/2 and AKT in TAM. Here, AKT1 is linked to glioblastoma.
