CRP and COVID-19: The laboratory diagnosis of a suspected COVID-19 patient includes a battery of tests: complete blood count (CBC), serum electrolytes, liver function tests (LFT), kidney function tests (KFT), prothrombin time (PT), international normalized ratio (INR), activated partial prothrombin time (aPTT), serum ferritin, C-reactive protein (CRP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), procalcitonin, plasma fibrinogen, D-dimer, arterial blood gases and most importantly radiological findings like X-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
