Previous studies using albumin [13], prealbumin [14], body mass index (BMI) [15], Controlling Nutritional Status score (CONUT) [2], Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 (NRS-2002) [5, 6] and other indicators have found a higher mortality in AKI patients with malnutrition risk, but there is no report on the relationship between mNUTRIC score and AKI in the elderly population. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and acute kidney injury.
