To truly enable precision oncology, National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and US FDA have recommended biomarker testing for genetic alterations in at least seven cancer genes (EGFR, ALK, RET, ROS1, MET, BRAF, and NTRK) for guiding treatment decisions in NSCLC [5–7]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
