Expression of AKT2, one of the mRNAs regulated by miR‐184, may be an important factor in the development of HAE symptoms through its association with IL‐4, IL‐15, TNF, CSF2, and TGF‐beta that mediate several signaling pathways such as IL‐5 production, IL‐4, IL‐8 and IL‐17 signaling, VEGF signaling and others as shown in Figure 5. This evidence concerns the gene CSF2 and hereditary angioedema.
