Tau aggregates purified from AD, PiD, PSP and CBD post-mortem brain tissue replicate disease-specific pathology in both tissue culture and mouse models of disease, suggesting the disease-specific tau aggregates characterise each tauopathy [2, 19, 25, 27, 28, 51, 64, 88, 114].
