Higher genetically predicted levels of both MMP12 (OR[95%CI] = 0.793[0.73, 0.861]; P = 3.53 × 10−8) and CD40 (OR[95% CI] = 0.795[0.723, 0.874]; P = 2.09 × 10−6) were associated with lower risk of large artery stroke. Here, CD40 is linked to large artery stroke.
