CDKN2A and cervical cancer: Therefore, in the present study, we aimed to identify the existence of the HPV genome along with the immunoexpression of p16INK4a protein in the uterine cervix as an effective biomarker to identify the role of high-risk HPV in the development of cervical cancer and also to find an association between the HPV genome and the cell cycle inhibitor protein p16INK4a.
