Aberrant activation of multiple immune-related pathways, including viral protein interaction with cytokine and cytokine receptor, natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity, IL-17 signaling pathway, Th1- and Th2-cell differentiation, Th17-cell differentiation, T-cell receptor signaling pathway, leukocyte transendothelial migration, and PD-L1 expression and PD-1 checkpoint pathway in cancer, in high-risk groups is associated with worse prognosis in prostate cancer, which is consistent with immune cell analysis among different risk groups. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and prostate cancer.
