In non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), USP10 can deubiquitinate K63-linked polyubiquitination, thereby restoring the phosphatase activity of PTEN, reducing the secondary messenger phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-triphosphate, which in turn attenuates AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin growth-promoting signaling, ultimately inhibiting NSCLC proliferation (31).
