BIRC5 and acute myeloid leukemia: Of the 10 patients with active AML, all 10 (100%) were positive for at least one TAA, 80% (8/10) were positive for WT1, 40% (4/10) were positive for PRAME, and 60% (6/10) were positive for BIRC5 at any time point tested (Figure 2E). 60% (6/10) were positive for more than one TAA (Figure 2E). Of AML patients in clinical remission, 50% (4/8) demonstrated ≥1 TAA, of which two of these four relapsed in the immediate monitoring period, suggesting that the ddPCR may serve as a sensitive biomarker of disease relapse.
