Overexpression of AIM2 in vitro promoted the formation of the AIM2-ASC-Caspase 1 inflammatory vesicle complex and inhibited the activation of the mTORC1 signaling pathway through the activation of inflammasomes, which had oncogenic effects; on the contrary, inhibition of AIM2 expression promoted the deterioration of HCC (34). Here, AIM2 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
