Mutations in several genes were associated with increased risks of breast cancer, according to the Breast Cancer Association Consortium, this includes: BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, CHEK2, ATM, BARD1, MSH6, RAD51C, RAD51D, NF1, TP53 and PTEN (Dorling et al., 2021). The gene discussed is RAD51D; the disease is breast carcinoma.
