When we transfected GFP-fused wild-type Tau (Tau-WT) or GFP-fused P301L mutant tau (Tau-P301L) into RFP-LC3-overexpressing SK-N-BE(2)-C neuroblastoma cells, we observed accumulations of tau and large LC3 puncta in the perinuclear region, and changes in cell morphology as cells shrank and detached from the dish (Figure 7A).
