Similar to the results with individual KIR genes, coexistence of 2DL2/C1 (55.3% vs. 38.3%, p = 0.026, OR 1.99, CI 1.11–3.56) and 2DS2/C1 (50.8% vs. 34.7%, p = 0.036, OR 1.93, CI 1.08–3.46) were found to occur more frequently in lung cancer patients than controls. Here, KIR3DL1 is linked to lung carcinoma.
