However, here we observe an opposite effect, whereby PD-L1 is upregulated in cancer cells, both with T cell–specific loss of TCF1 and pharmacologic inhibition of WNT signaling, and these differences might reflect unique features of the pancreatic cancer microenvironment and highlight the need to study common signaling pathways in a cancer-type specific manner.
