While Btk inhibition clearly results in impaired platelet function, multiple studies have suggested bleeding is due to off‐target blockade of other kinases, such as Src family kinases or Tec, as no bleeding diathesis is observed in Btk‐deficient patients with X‐linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA).21, 22, 23, 24. The gene discussed is BTK; the disease is Bruton-type agammaglobulinemia.
