Berbamine efficiently protected the cells from different coronaviral (SARS‐CoV‐2 and MERS‐CoV) infections by inhibiting the transient receptor potential cation channel, mucolipin subfamily (a Ca2+ permeable non‐selective cation channels in endosomes and lysosomes) leading to impairment in endolysosomal trafficking of viral receptors ACE2 and DPP4. This evidence concerns the gene DPP4 and infection.
