Dialysis patients with sarcopenia had significantly lower serum albumin, serum phosphate, serum parathyroid hormone, serum creatinine, and serum 25-OH vitamin D ((−0.1 g/dL, 95% CI −0.2 to −0.1, p < 0.001, I2 54.15%), (−0.6 mg/dL, 95% CI −0.8 to −0.4, p < 0.001, I2 43.06%),(−43.4 pg/mL, 95% CI −94.6 to −2.2, p = 0.04, I2 52.89%), (−1.6 mg/dL, 95% CI −2.0 to −1.3, p = 0.05, I2 44.12%), (−3.5 ng/mL, 95% CI −6.02 to −1.01, p = 0.006, I2 77.24%, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene PTH and sarcopenia.
