CRP and chronic kidney disease: A case–control study revealed that the bacteria were not related to triglyceride, cholesterol, BUN, and creatinine levels; however, a negative correlation between Roseburia spp., Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, and CRP and renal function suggested that the depletion of butyrate-producing bacteria may contribute to CKD-associated inflammation and CKD progression [24].
