In a multivariate logistic analysis after adjustments for age, hypertension, fasting glucose, heavy drinker, smoking status, LDL, ALT, serum creatinine, and regular physical activity, women in the higher tertile of ferritin values, compared to those in the tertile with the lowest, had a significantly increased likelihood of numerous abnormal body compositions (all p for trend < 0.0001 for those with one, two, or three adverse composition compared to zero).
