In ovarian cancer cells A2780/CP70, Kae stimulated the extrinsic apoptosis pathway through death receptors/FADD/caspase-8; moreover, Kae induced G2/M cell cycle arrest via two pathways, Chk2/Cdc25C/Cdc2 and Chk2/p21/Cdc2. This evidence concerns the gene CHEK2 and ovarian cancer.
